Generally comprises of a sand and cement levelling layer which can be bonded, unbonded or on the substructure.
Typical:
Sand cement 1:4 mix design fibremesh reinforced.
- 75 mm thick unbonded/floating
- 65 mm thick unbonded/floating
- 50 mm thick bonded
Screed can be modified by reducing the water in the mix design to
- Increase strength
- Reduce cracking
- Early drying
A typical proprietary premixed checked screed which we recommend is:
N.B. All screeds either premixed or force action mixed are pumped into place with our Pitzmeister Screed Pumps.
